Thallo

Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 October 2026

1. What Thallo is

Thallo is an AI study assistant. It reads a question you place on your screen, answers it with AI models, and returns the answer to you through small on-device signals (a menu-bar mark, a keyboard light, a quiet window). A licence key you receive after subscribing activates the app.

2. Your account and licence

  • One subscription covers the number of devices ("seats") shown on your plan: Pro covers one device, Max covers two.
  • Answer limits reset monthly. Unused answers do not roll over.
  • Your licence key is personal. Selling, sharing beyond your seats, or publishing it ends the licence.
  • You can cancel a subscription at any time through Manage subscription; access continues to the end of the paid period.

3. Acceptable use

Thallo is provided for study, practice, and productivity. You are responsible for how you use it and for complying with the rules of your school, employer, or any platform you use it with. You agree not to use Thallo to violate those rules, and we may suspend licences used in ways that expose either party to harm or break the law.

4. No guarantees on answers

AI systems make mistakes. Thallo cross-checks answers and abstains when unsure, but we do not promise that any answer is correct, and we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted. The service is provided "as is" to the fullest extent the law allows.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party processors (including Polar and Stripe). We never see or store your card details. Prices are in USD; taxes may be added at checkout by the processor.

6. Termination and refunds

You may stop using Thallo and cancel anytime. We may suspend a licence for breach of these terms. New subscriptions are refundable within 14 days as described in the Refund Policy.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thallo's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, including grades, employment outcomes, or data loss.

8. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that reduces your rights, we will note the change on this page at least 14 days before it applies. Continued use after that means acceptance.
